March started with popular festivals in different parts of the province of Buenos Aires, which offers a range of free and not so free options. They are all about experiencing a different weekend, with alternatives that range from the defense of sovereignty, wheat or guitars to the crafts and identity of each locality.
Long live Sovereignty
In Carmen de Patagones The 15th edition of the Provincial Festival of Patagonian Sovereignty is coming. It’s free. It starts this Saturday and ends on Sunday. It starts at 10 a.m. On Saturday it will be on La Caballada hill and on Sunday, at 8 p.m., on the railroad property. The 199 years of the defense of national sovereignty are celebrated. Organized by the Municipality of Patagones with the participation of the Buenos Aires Undersecretariat of Tourism. Wheat
In Three Streams 57 is coming Provincial wheat festival. It starts this Thursday and lasts until Sunday. There are different schedules and it takes place on the grounds of the Wheat Festival where the entrance is free. There will be bonfires, allegorical parades, a craft walk, a beer and gastronomic patio. Musical shows come with everything (fee entry): from Viejas Locas to Estelares and Luck Ra. Access to the general property free. For shows, admission is charged. Organized by the Provincial Wheat Festival Commission and the Municipality of Tres Arroyos. Crafts
In Captain Sarmiento Cahuané is coming, the 36th National Meeting of Artisans and the 30th Provincial Meeting of Young Artisans. It’s free. It begins this Thursday the 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. and on Sunday it will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the warehouses of the railway property. Artisans from all over the country will be present who gather to share knowledge, traditions and living culture. Handmade art with identity and memory that invites encounter and exchange with the community. There will also be live musical performances. Organized by the Municipality of Capitán Sarmiento. Guitars
In Dolores The 32nd National Guitar Festival takes place from this Saturday to Sunday, March 15, at different times, on the Paseo de la Guitarra. This is a permanent tribute to Don Abel Fleury. There will be musical shows with Jorge Rojas, Los Tekis, Ahyre, Carlos Ramón Fernández and Rodrigo Romero. Admission is paid. Organized by the Municipality of Dolores. Volga Germans
In Colonia Hinojo, Olavarríathe 14th takes place. Kreppeldest. It’s freethis Saturday, March 7 from 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. on Los Fundadores Avenue. There will be typical foods, typical dances and music, food and beer stalls, a craft walk, a spicher show and guided tours of the temple, the school and the museum. In Loberia The 41st Provincial Festival of Troopillas and Tradition is held. It is this Saturday from 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. in different parts of the town. In Energetic the 10th is coming. Antique Agricultural Machinery Festival. It is this Saturday and Sunday from 10 at the entrance to Parque Lacunario, on RP 46. There is a parade of tractors, old combine harvesters and other machinery. Tribute to Country Women, exhibitions, traditional mate cocido and canteen. There will also be artistic shows. In Ayacucho The 52nd edition of the National Calf Festival and La Yerra Day is coming. Lasts all week. From Sunday, March 8 to the 15th. Musical presentations with Angela Leiva and Pinky, among others. The Civil Association organizes the National Calf Festival and Day of the Land with the support of the Municipality of Ayacucho. In Colonel Pringles There is an unmissable event to discover the Wine and Olive Route.
