With a heartfelt and nostalgic message, Andrés Ciro Martínez fired Daniel Buira this Saturdayfirst drummer and founder of Los Piojos, who died this morning of a heart attack at the headquarters of the “La Chilinga” Percussion School, at the age of 54.
The singer of Los Piojos y Ciro y de los Persas took to the networks to express his pain over the death of one of the creators of the rock band.
“Goodbye Dani. What a pain to wake up to this news. You left early. There was still something to live and do. But you gave a lot,” he expressed on the official account of Ciro y los Persians.
In the message, which is accompanied by a photo with Buira, the singer also stated: “The images overlap. I will always see you behind the patches. With your joking laugh. Your repeated phrases. Playing what is sung to you. A percussionist with drums. A creative. An artist.”
“We had the pleasure of playing together again. Of being Los Piojos on stage again. You waited in silence for 25 years. And you enjoyed it deeply,” he continued.
And he closed: “I hug you here in the rain, from the Uruguayan shore, which inspired us so much. I send heartfelt condolences to his family, on behalf of myself and all the people of Los Persas. We are going to miss you. Let the drums sound from above. Draw master!”
The first to dedicate a few words to Buira was Luciana Valdés, better known as Luli Bass, the bassist of Los Piojos in the band’s return.
“How nice to have shared music with you, Dani dear! Always with your very musical and personal style. And always with a smile, enjoying what you did. How sad that you are no longer here,” he wrote in one of the Instagram stories.
This afternoon, meanwhile, he spoke Micky Rodriguezoriginal bassist of Los Piojos. “May your drums be eternal. Bon voyage!!!,” wrote Rodríguez, who was not part of Los Piojos’ comeback tour.
The band La Flanela, led by Daniel “Piti” Fernandezguitarist of Los Piojos. “I hug the family, I am left with the best memories. And wherever you go, let the drums play,” they wrote in that account.
Sebastian Carderobetter known as “Roger”, was the one who replaced Buira on drums when he left the band. “What to say about you Dani! Better said: what not to say! Talking about you is talk about the driving force of the band of my life“, that you were my inspiration to continue creating rhythms when it was my turn to take your place, you are and will always be the creative soul of the most beautiful rhythms that I had to interpret,” was the strong message that Cardero published.
Buira and Cardero, each with their own drummer, shared the Los Piojos comeback tour. “What I have experienced in these months and to say reunion, I had to get to know in depth an incredible person from where I looked at him with a smile with always the constant joke and the family that we met and united us forever,” Cardero wrote about it.
Buira It broke down this Saturday around 4 in the morning. A friend found him asking for help because he couldn’t breathe normally. When he tried to assist him, he became decompensated and lost consciousness. SAME doctors who arrived at the scene confirmed his death. The witness stated that Buira suffered from asthma.
Morón Prosecutor’s Office No. 8 began an investigation to determine the causes of death. The required tests and an autopsy were ordered on the musician’s body.
