The Government and the unions meet this Wednesday due to the Garrahan crisis

The Government called for this Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. the ATE unions, the Association of Professionals and Technicians of the Garrahan Hospital (APyT Garrahan) and to the authorities of that institution to a hearing to reach an agreement on the salary conflict.

The meeting was scheduled for Thursday, but in the last hours it was decided to bring it forward 24 hours to try to reach an agreement in the conflict.

“Faced with the Government’s attempt to divide and stigmatize the workers, added to the strong smear campaign with false information, fake social media accounts and unrealistic chats, the conflict continued to grow and they could not delay the call any further,” highlighted the general secretary of ATE, Rodolfo Aguiar.

From his social networks, the leader warned that if a positive response is not achieved, a national measure will be determined in the health area.

“No one is unaware that the adjustment is getting even worse in the provinces,” he said and warned that “with this Government, the public health system is in danger and we are not going to stop fighting to defend it. They want to make health a business and they will not be able to.”

The call is scheduled for this Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the National Directorate of Labor Relations and Regulations, located at 128 Callao Avenue.

Within the framework of the salary conflict, the Government had announced over the weekend an increase in the salaries of resident doctors of the pediatric hospital that will rise “around $1,300,000 as of July 1”.

But later, the residents of Garrahan clarified that they did not receive “any” official offer.

“I imagine that what we are talking about is a publication by X, which is in the hospital network, which is not our employer. Our employer is the Ministry of Health of the Nation“said the Garrahan resident Santana Blue.

And he insisted on demanding that the portfolio headed by Mario Lugones take charge of direct communication with the workers.

Everything goes through the Hospital, which is not an intermediary in our salary.“We are directly employees of the Ministry,” he stated.

The pediatric center is funded in a 80% by the national State and 20% by the Government of the city of Buenos Aires. (NA)
