What is seen in the new trailer
But what do you see in the new trailer for The day of revelation?
The plot remains difficult to decipher, according to those who saw the trailer in Las Vegas, which is not yet available anywhere. It involves visitors from another planet and a government conspiracy trying to cover up their arrival.

Emily Blunt, who we will see at the end of the month in The Devil Wears Prada 2is a television meteorologist who apparently has a connection with visitors from another world. And the aliens? They are seen briefly, like a hand that would not be human and that reaches out to caress a face, and a ship begins to materialize in a black sky. The script was written by David Koepp, screenwriter of jurassic park.
Daniel (Josh O’Connor) has a video in which he sees… More details
Another lucky person said that Margaret (Emily Blunt) is drinking coffee when a cardinal bird flies into view. They look at each other strangely before she runs off to work.
Daniel (Josh O’Connor) has a video of something strange happening: People in protective suits remove bodies from containers.
Daniel reveals that the clicking sounds that Margaret mentioned in the previous trailers are actually a mathematical equation. Margaret says that “they” know where Daniel is and that they will kill him, and begs him not to come back to the house. And black cars appear…
Margaret, the meteorologist who, it seems, has contacts with the aliens. And, it’s not a spoiler, because it’s in the trailer, Margaret and Daniel have had intertwined destinies since childhood.
The million-dollar question – not whether the film will return us to the Spielberg of his best times in entertainment cinema, which is worth two million – is whether the aliens come in peace, like those of close encounters or ET himself, or they are belligerent and want to take over planet Earth, destroying everything, as in war of the worlds.
Spielberg and the aliens
The science fiction genre, or one that involves aliens, has at least three important films in the filmography of the director who will turn 80 on December 18.

First it was Close encounters of the third kind (1977), with Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss, reworking with Steven after Shark) having that special encounter and getting on a spaceship. Then it came ET, the extraterrestrial (1982), in which Elliott (Henry Thomas) became attached to E.T.
Less friendly were the aliens from war of the worlds (2005) against which Tom Cruise faced.
Science fiction, closer to reality
Spielberg had never attended a CinemaCon. After receiving a standing ovation, he stated that science fiction is “closer to reality” than people assume today.
But what is Margaret holding in her hand?“Since I was a child I have been curious about what happens up there in heaven,” he declared, pointing out that There is more and more evidence that UFOs are real. He referred to a 2017 report by The New York Times about a secret US Pentagon program to investigate these mysterious sightings.
And when it came to selling his next film, which was ultimately why he went to CinemaCon, he ended up saying “I think this film is going to answer questions and generate many questions in people.”
“I promise you that this will not be my last film,” he said and, of course, they applauded him.

Spielberg took advantage and gave advice on how to ensure that cinema, as he knows it and likes it, survives on the screens. First: movies have to be in theaters longer before jumping to streaming platforms. And he gave as an example what Universal Pictures (the production company behind his film) will do, which decided to increase the number of days that its films will be in theaters, jumping from a minimum of 17 to 45.
“Studios should help us by considerably extending exclusivity periods, as Donna Langley (head of Universal Entertainment) just did… Today I have to be ambitious. 60 days? 120 days?”
And he stressed that we must continue investing in original films – like his own – instead of reboots, sequels and spin-offs.
“If we only produce well-known franchises, we will run out of ideas. We need to tell more original stories,” he concluded.
