Adorni: the circle is closed and Justice advances on several fronts

The case for illicit enrichment that has the Chief of Staff under scrutiny, Manuel Adorniwill have another key week. Pablo Feijoo, a real estate businessman who would have played a key role in at least two of the coordinating minister’s real estate operations, is expected to make a statement on Wednesday.

Feijoo is the son of Beatriz Viegas, one of the two retirees who financed Adorni’s 87% of the purchase of the apartment on Miró Street, in Caballito. And he is the one who, according to the women, actively intervened in the purchase of the property from former soccer player “Huguito” Flores, in May 2025, for 200 thousand dollars and, six months later, the sale to Adorni for 230 thousand. A few weeks before that second operation, on October 22, 2025, the man was received by the Chief of Staff at the Casa Rosada.

This witness, who must appear before prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita next Wednesday, appears to be responsible for the sale via the direct owner of the apartment located at 1100 Assembly, Parque Chacabuco, from which Adorni wants to get rid of.

Most of the expectations that the investigators have are placed on him providing details about his intervention in the sale and purchase of the Caballito apartment, where the Chief of Staff currently lives along with his wife Betina Angeletti and their two children.

In principle, what the prosecutor wants to know is how the purchase of that property was carried out by his mother Viegas and Claudia Sbabo, the other retiree who was the owner. He will also be asked about his relationship with Adorni and if he made any kind of profit from the efforts he made so that the women could sell the financed apartment to the libertarian official.

The issue of financing is among the main doubts. At the moment, it is known that the retirees sold the apartment for just US$30,000 more than the value at which they bought it. And, of course, each one financed Adorni US$100,000, to be paid in November of this year and without interest. Precisely, this type of financing is extremely striking and the prosecutor wants to know what was behind that gesture?

The background becomes more relevant if we take into account the renovations that the department underwent and which Feijoo would have been in charge of. This is one of the points on which Claudia Rucci, from the Rucci real estate agency, which marketed Miró’s apartment when Morales put it up for sale, is expected to be consulted. The same with the building manager.

Another of the doubts that investigators seek to clear up is whether he made some type of agreement with Adorni in which, for example, his role in charge of the sale of the Assembly Avenue apartment is framed, as it appears on the Zonaprop portal.

In recent days, responses began to arrive to some of the letters ordered by prosecutor Pollicita to obtain registry, banking and tax information. This material is still under analysis and, based on what emerges there, during the week that begins it will be defined whether it is appropriate to request new measures or move forward with the data that exists and the testimonials. Nothing is ruled out yet, according to judicial sources.

Another trip and more expenses

To the network of property sales and expenses that would have no relation to Adorni’s income as an official, we must add the developments that occurred in recent days in the case of the private flight to Punta del Este. There, the prosecutor has come to request reports from Migrations and other organizations and in recent days confirmed the trip to Aruba that the official made with his family between December 29, 2025 and January 10, 2026.

After this confirmation, the prosecutor – who also intervenes in that file – is currently seeking to confirm which hotel they stayed in and the expenses they had. It is also expected that information will arrive that will confirm and incorporate into the case the four-day getaway that Adorni and his family made to the luxurious Llao Llao hotel in Bariloche, in June 2024, as revealed The Uncovering. That trip still does not appear in the file.

The judicial sights are also set on the partner of the Chief of Staff. Not only in the case of illicit enrichment and travel, but in another one promoted in recent days by prosecutor Carlos Stornelli, who aims to investigate whether there were contracts between the State and companies linked to Betina Angeletti. He did so based on a complaint filed by the national representative of the Coherencia bloc and former member of the libertarian ranks, Marcela Pagano.

Stornelli asked different public organizations, such as the General Inspection of Justice (IGJ) and the Chief of Staff Contracting Office, to provide information on the corporate composition and possible agreements between the State and various private companies. The objective is to verify if the consultancy MásBe, from Angeletti, had or has a relationship with any of them and if, in turn, they were State contractors.
