ACAPULCO, GRO.- With a recovery greater than 86% of its hotel infrastructure and the availability of more than 17 thousand rooms in 310 hotels, Acapulco is officially declared ready to be the headquarters of the Mexico Tourist Tianguis 2026. The most important event of the sector in the country will celebrate its 50th edition of the April 27 to 30 at the Expo Mundo Imperial facilities, consolidating the rebirth of the iconic Guerrero port.

An obvious transformation
The head of the Ministry of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamorahighlighted the profound change that the destination has experienced after the reconstruction efforts. “Today I find a different Acapulco; the occupancy rate of 94% reflects it: there are lines in the restaurants, there is life, and that means that something is being done well,” said the secretary, highlighting that the city today has infrastructure works that have not been seen in more than three decades.
For his part, the Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero, Simon Quiñonesconfirmed that air and land connectivity has been completely restored, reaching levels prior to climate contingencies. This stability will allow optimal reception of more than 8 thousand attendees who will meet at the event.

The Tianguis 2026 will not only be a national meeting point with the participation of the 32 states of the Republic, but it also projects an unprecedented international commercial force:
