Claudia Sbabo and Beatriz Viega were in the Comodoro Py courts this Wednesday morning. These are the women who financed Manuel Adorni 200 thousand dollars when he sold him his Caballito apartment, who assured under oath that their two sons took charge of the operation.
Both appeared this morning at the headquarters of Gerardo Pollicita’s Prosecutor’s Office, in charge of the case for illicit enrichment that has the Chief of Staff under investigation. The first to give her testimony was Sbabo, creditor of 50% of the financing that allowed the Mileista official to access the property located on Miró Street after putting in an advance of 30 thousand dollars, in a transaction that took place in November of last year.
Lack of memory seems to be a common factor that unites several of the people who have given their testimony so far. As happened with the notary Adriana Nechevenko last week, this Tuesday the researchers found that the retirees did not know what to answer to some of the questions from Justice. Due to lack of memory or alienation of both women with the process of buying and selling the property, there are still open questions in the investigation, which could be closed in the coming days as new witnesses testify and the required information arrives days ago.
Sbabo, as he learned Timestated that in 2022 he bought a well apartment and that two years later he made a ticket transfer, that is, a sale prior to the deed. With the money from that transaction, his son, Leandro Mianoproposed the purchase of Miró’s apartment, a business that was in charge, he assured, of Pablo Feijóo.
Feijóo is the son of Beatriz Viegasthe other retiree with whom she shared ownership of the department and who also declared this Tuesday. This young man is, in turn, Miano’s partner in a series of real estate ventures.
It is worth remembering that the women bought the apartment in May 2025 from former soccer player Hugo Morales, who was the first witness to testify in the case: he said that his intention was to sell the apartment for 250 thousand dollars but that since no buyers appeared and the property was deteriorated, it ended up being sold for 200 thousand dollars. Six months later, the property passed into the hands of Adorni through a strange financial agreement.
Both Viega and Sbabo told the court that their children took charge of the operation. They sold the apartment to the official for 230 thousand dollars, a price below the market average in one of the most expensive areas of Caballito. And it was within the framework of a strange agreement of which there were not too many details during the testimonies this Wednesday because it was Feijóo and Miano who took care of it. But, a priori, it is known that the Chief of Staff put up 30 thousand dollars and that they financed the remaining 200 thousand dollars, without interest for one year, which would mature next November.
It also emerged from the testimonies that Adorni was present on the day the deed was made. And that this procedure was not in Nechevenko’s office, but in a home in Feijóo.
There are still doubts about financing. Also regarding the arrangements that were made in the department, which Viegas’s son would also have taken care of, who according to Nechevenko is a friend of the Chief of Staff. Sbabo stated, regarding the latter, that the house was in poor condition when he first saw it but he attested to the improvements, although he did not remember the details.
Now the focus is on Feijóo, who has already been summoned by prosecutor Pollicita. He is scheduled to testify on April 22, the day on which investigators expect him to provide more details about the operations and his link with the Chief of Staff. Among other things, because he appears to be in charge of the sale of the Assembly Avenue apartment that is still in the hands of Adorni, from which – according to the notary – the official would take charge of the 200 thousand dollars that he owes to Sbabo and the 70 thousand dollars that he still owes to the police officers Graciela Molina and Victoria Cancio, who lent him 100 thousand dollars.
Adorni is investigated for illicit enrichment and is defended by lawyer Matías Ledesma. In addition to the purchase of the Caballito apartment, Justice has under scrutiny the acquisition of a house in the country Indio Cua Golf Club in the town of Exaltación de la Cruz, which occurred in November 2024. These days, Pollicita is working on gathering data to determine if these acquisitions along with the rest of the expenses of the official and his family had a correlation with his income as a public official, which has been between 3.5 and 7 million pesos since he took office.
